As a current junior studying Agribusiness Management at Purdue University, I absolutely love my school (the place I have been blessed to call my home away from home for the past two and a half years). The opportunities have been endless, and I thank my loving friends and family for the support they have given me!
Growing up in rural Indiana, I never imagined I would be presented with the opportunity to travel the world for more than a short vacation. In fact, I can’t say that I ever gave much thought to studying abroad for an extended amount of time. But as we all know, life is full of changes. What won’t change throughout the course of my trip will be my love for God, family, all things agriculture, and of course, my love for my two Australian Shepard pups, Allie and Annie.
My first study abroad experience was nothing short of amazing – I participated in a Service Learning Trip to Cap Haitien, Haiti last winter break. For it being my first time out of the country, it far exceeded any expectations I might have had.
My next study abroad trip will be taking me overseas to University College Dublin in Ireland for a semester of my college career. I will be taking courses there within the Agriculture and Food Science program from January 23rd until May 20th and I am grateful to be pursuing this experience!
I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
